One lucky UK charity will receive a website to boost its online presence completely free of charge.
Cambridge, UK – 13 March 2025
UK charities now have a chance to transform their online presence with a free, professionally designed website courtesy of Xanthos Digital. This competition is open to registered UK charities operating on a not-for-profit or public benefit basis and will run from 12th March to 30th April 2025.
Xanthos Digital, a Cambridge-based web design and digital marketing agency, has a long history of delivering professional, impactful websites. Inspired by its work with the Cancer Prevention Research Trust, Xanthos Digital saw firsthand how a well-designed website can boost a charity’s impact. Now, the agency is launching a competition to give one deserving charity the same opportunity to enhance its digital presence and reach more people in need.
“Public awareness is crucial for all charitable organisations, particularly for smaller yet equally deserving ones that tirelessly work to effect positive change,” said David McCormick, Managing Director of Xanthos Digital. “We want to enhance the winning charity’s visibility by creating or refreshing their website to help them stand out. It’s a small gesture that can make a real difference to many, and we are thrilled to launch this initiative.”
Charities will be selected based on the following:
- Impact: How a new website will help advance their mission and outreach.
- Need: The strength of their application and their existing digital presence.
- Engagement: The current state of their online activities and website (if any).
If a clear winner cannot be determined, Xanthos will conduct a random draw among the shortlisted applicants.
The prize includes:
- A custom WordPress website designed using a professional template.
- Free hosting and security updates for the first year.
- Monthly website maintenance and support (up to 1 hour per month).
- A 2-hour training session to equip the charity's team with the necessary skills to manage and update the website.
- Full ownership of the website, ensuring complete control over content and functionality.
This prize aims to help the winning charity establish a strong digital presence, improve engagement, and maximise its online reach.
